About Naxos

Naxos is a Greek island, the biggest of the Cyclades, in the heart of the Aegean Sea. The island covers an area of 430 km2 and has 148 km of coastline. According to the myth, on the higher mountain of the island, known as Zas, Zeus was raised. Naxos is inhabited since the Paleolithic era without interruption and has been the center of the Cycladic civilization.

Why Naxos?
This beautiful island offers a variety of well organized sandy beaches (Agios Georgios, Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna) and others, like Mikri Vigla, where the weather conditions are ideal for kitesurfing and windsurfing.

There is also a wide range of archaeological sites, the most visited of which are the Portara, the ruins of the ancient Apollo temple, the ancient town of Naxos, the Venetian Castle (still inhabited), the statues of Kouroi and others.
